The FaceSnap® RECORDER is a turnkey solution for video surveillance, monitoring, law enforcement and other applications requiring face recognition and recording. A combined digital video recorder and face recognition software locates and extracts facial images from video footage for identification and/or verification. Individual facial patterns are then recorded and stored in an easy-to-navigate database that can be viewed on an average PC monitor. Click here to see the FaceSnap RECORDER in action! In recording mode, the FaceSnap RECORDER screen simultaneously shows the live camera shot and the latest sequence of captured facial images. The replay mode graphically displays periods of recorded activity, so that viewers need only browse active video sequences or fast-forward to a pre-selected time period. In search mode, the user can define image groups and training sets for face identification. With the optional automatic face recognition module FaceCheck® the image database can be searched for image matches. Easy-to-install, fully integrated system The FaceSnap RECORDER is a stand-alone system, featuring a digital video recorder and all necessary software. The recorder has video inputs for a variety of formats -- NTSC, PAL, SECAM and S-Video. For Intranet or Internet integration, the FaceSnap RECORDER features an Ethernet interface for network connection, as well as remote access to the image database with the Web server option. In addition to the standard desktop model, C-VIS also offers a portable FaceSnap RECORDER for video observation and surveillance on-the-move. The FaceSnap RECORDER also is designed for operating in a network environment.That is, several FaceSnap RECORDER may be accessed from a central server and other systems can easily be interfaced to a FaceSnap RECORDER using standard internet protocols. As a special option, we also offer the FaceCheck SERVER which together with a FaceSnap RECORDER can work as a real-time facial identification system. FaceTrack Option If optimal face image quality is needed, the patented FaceTrack system is the ideal solution. It comes with a dual camera combination of a pan/tilt/zoom unit and a wide angle surveillance camera. The "active" camera is automatically pointed towards faces and zooms in for high resolution.
